Sucessfull participants must meet the required performance, and be able to:

• Recognize and identify situations where radar should be used

• Will be able to select a suitable mode and range according to the circunstance and set up controls for optimal performance

• setting 

• Will be aware of the limitation of the equipment in detecting targets in terms of accuracy

• Compare radar display with real life, charts in use, land targets etc

• Plot ship targets and identify the ones that pottencially  Ihave threat of collision

• Derive from the ploted targets positions their course and speed

• Keep a proper look out and prevent close quarter situation accordance to COLREG (Colision regulation)
